ABOUT BETHANY

Bethany is a state legislative and executive lobbyist for the firm’s clients. 

Prior to joining the BSS Global, Bethany worked as Director of Scheduling and Intergovernmental Affairs in the Office of Governor Phil Bryant. She also served in the role of Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff and as Deputy Scheduler to the Governor.

Between her two stints in the Governor’s office, Bethany worked for the University of Alabama system’s office of governmental affairs and for Maynard Cooper & Gale, P.C., a nationally recognized law firm headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. She specialized in governmental affairs and fundraising, where she represented a wide range of clients, including a sitting state Supreme Court justice.

Bethany received the Top 50 Most Influential Award from the MS Top 50. She supports her alma mater, the University of Mississippi, through her service on the Ole Miss Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Central Mississippi Ole Miss Rebel Club Board, the Ole Miss Alumni Association Young Alumni Council, and the Ole Miss Business School Business Advisory Board, which is composed of successful executives, business people, and entrepreneurs who generously give their time to help the business school and its students.

Bethany also serves on the board of Harbor House, which offers high quality, evidenced-based treatment programs and hope to those lost in the grips of addiction; as Past President of the Metro Jackson Chi Omega Alumnae Board; and as Past President of the Jackson Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association, for which she previously served as Vice President and Treasurer.

Bethany’s community advocacy includes serving as the Jackson Symphony League Gala’s Corporate Patron Chair; the Junior League of Jackson, where she has been selected for the 2023-2024 Class of Emerging Leaders and the 2024 Mistletoe Marketplace Steering Committee, currently serves as the Provisional Programs Co-Chair and on the Mistletoe Marketplace Merchant Liaison Committee, and was previously the Arrangements Chair for Special Events; volunteering with the Mississippi Children’s Museum Partners, where she is the 2023-2024 Vice President of Membership and former Staff Recognition Chair and Neon Nights Committee Advisor; as a member of the Gallery Guild, which promotes the visual arts through lectures, programs and acquisitions of the Mississippi Museum of Art; and supporting the Mississippi Kidney Foundation, where she helped organize their Uptown Drawdown fundraising event.

In 2023 Bethany was one of Make-A-Wish Mississippi’s Women Inspiring Strength and Hope (W.I.S.H) honorees. Annually, the Make-A-Wish Mississippi’s W.I.S.H. Society campaign honors 25 outstanding women in the community for their career success, their significant contributions to the community, and their personal passion and commitment to Make-A-Wish.
